Here at Shipyard Dog Co. we offer a “free play” environment where your dog can run around, play and socialize with other dogs, or simply sit back, relax and get constant pets and belly rubs from our dog loving staff.
We have separate play groups based on different play styles and personalities to ensure the comfort and safety of your pup. We do take size into effect when determining which group is best for each dog, but sometimes we have some calmer or older big guys that the littles LOVE being with and vice versa… so basically, they go where their friends are and where they are happiest and safest.
There are many benefits to sending your pup to doggie daycare… it helps dogs practice good social skills, get necessary physical exercise, provides intellectual stimulation, helps with separation anxiety and…. they have FUN!

NEW DOG EVALUATION
Shipyard Dog Co. requires all new dogs to participate in a no charge evaluation prior to using daycare or boarding services. Evaluations consist of a 1-2 hour period in which your dog will be slowly introduced to the staff and the other dog guests to make sure they are a good fit for our daycare. If they pass then they are welcome to stay for the rest of the day at no charge! To schedule your evaluation please create a Gingr profile online and upload your dogs current vaccine records. Once your profile is complete online please call/text us at (781) 749-1094 to book your evaluation!
Evaluations are required prior to any daycare or boarding services.

Puppies!!! We LOVE puppies! They just must be old enough to to receive all of their vaccinations prior to joining us.
COME PLAY
To remain eligible for daycare and boarding, your dog must come aboard at least once every 6 months. If not, they may have to schedule a new evaluation.
DAYCARE FAQs
DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR DAYCARE?
Reservations are now required for daycare. We frequently reach our max capacity for daycare, so we highly suggest making reservations ahead of time to guarantee a spot or calling us to see if we have space available before you head over. If we are full for the day, then you have the option of being added to our waitlist in the event of any last minute cancellations.

WHAT WILL MY DOG DO DURING DAYCARE?
Your dog will be running and playing with their friends, climbing on play structures, learning manners with the staff, hanging out and relaxing, water play in the warmer months or maybe just hanging out with the staff getting belly rubs if that's what they choose. If we feel as if your dog is getting overly tired and can't seem to stop the fun long enough to take a nap on their own, then we will escort them into one of our private staterooms so they can have some quiet time to relax and re-charge for their next round of fun.
We can also feed your dog breakfast, lunch or dinner at no extra charge.
(Please note: Your dog will be out of group play for a minimum of one hour after each meal to prevent bloat).
