OUR STORY
As the new owners of Shipyard Dog Co. (formally known as Hingham Dog Care), we would like to introduce ourselves. Our names are Shanna and Jack, and it has been our life-long dream to own a small family business where we will have the opportunity to apply our love and knowledge of dogs into caring for your four-legged babies.
Our vision is that every dog deserves the very best care in a fun, safe and clean environment. At Shipyard Dog Co., we see you and your dogs as part of our family and strive to be a “home away from home” for your beloved family members. We also feel blessed that all of the dedicated employees, that have been here for years and have come to know and love each and every one of your dogs, are staying with us to continue to give the highest level of care for your pups.
As some many of you may have already seen, many intensive renovations are already under way and we are working vigorously to provide an optimal facility to enhance your dog’s experience. Some more of the new renovations we hope to have completed soon include:
• New sanitary, shock absorbing, skid proof flooring installed in all play areas to minimize any stress on your dogs and provide better support for their paws, muscles, joints, and bones.
• Custom built larger boarding suites, all with full tempered glass doors, raised Kuranda beds and soft blankets, dimmed lights and soothing music. We want your dogs to be as comfortable as possible while staying with us so that you can travel with the peace of mind knowing that your precious family member is having a great time on their own “doggie vacation” with us.
• New play structures for your dog to climb, explore and have fun. Your dog will get to socialize and enjoy their time with their furry friends through various playtime activities.
• Top of the line commercial high heat steam cleaners to sanitize all surfaces and remove 99.9% of all bacteria and germs.
• Newly renovated grooming salon with brand new wash tubs and grooming tables.
Some other future renovations we plan on doing consist of new artificial K9 Grass in all outdoor areas with bone shaped swimming pools, new climbing structures and new shaded areas to relax.
Full grooming, transportation and walking services will also resume in the very near future as well.
Allowing your dog to socialize with other dogs is one of the greatest gifts you can give your pet. Daycare provides dogs with mental stimulation, socialization, and exercise and we are dedicated to making sure that your dog has the best possible day ever with us!
